The Invisible Orthodontist

Your orthodontic treatment journey

It is said that every journey begins with a single step, and beginning your orthodontic treatment journey is no different. Here are the different steps you can expect along the way in your quest for a brand new smile.

Step 1: Free initial consultation

Your orthodontic treatment journey will begin with a consultation at your local TIO orthodontist’s practice. You don’t need a referral from your general dentist to have this consultation; you can just ring and make an appointment at a time that is convenient for you. Before sitting down with your orthodontist or treatment coordinator, you’ll be asked to provide some information on your dental and medical history as this will help your orthodontist form your treatment plan.

Step 2: Orthodontic assessment

There are two key objectives to be achieved at your initial consultation: the first is to allow you to ask whatever questions you may have about orthodontic treatment. Your orthodontist or treatment coordinator will aim to answer all of these, though you may find some initial information in our FAQ section.

the second objective is to be orthodontically assessed. In order to do this, we will need to take some photographs and x-rays if needed. This information helps to compile your orthodontic treatment plan.

Step 3: Making the decision

Once your orthodontist or treatment coordinator has completed an initial assessment, all of the information will be presented to you in your treatment plan. This will outline the type of treatment you can most benefit from, whether that be Invisalign or another type of braces, the estimated length of time treatment will take, as well as a quote detailing the cost of your treatment. Your orthodontist’s treatment coordinator will also be able to provide information on payment plans as well.

This information is yours to help you decide whether you would like to embark on your orthodontic treatment journey.
