Orthodontic treatment for everyone
Every one of us has a set of teeth that is unique to us and us alone. The Invisible Orthodontist (TIO) group recognises this and treats each patient as an individual.
As adults, many of us may have resigned ourselves to the fact that the way our teeth look will be the way they’ll look forever. But this doesn’t have to be the case. Orthodontic treatment is suitable for everyone, including adults.
If you missed out on orthodontic treatment as a child and have lived with crooked teeth or an uncomfortable overbite, it’s never too late to have it fixed. These days, there are many types of treatments available, most of which are both discreet and comfortable.
The teenage years are an important time for orthodontic treatment; however, they can also be a difficult time. Many teens can be self-conscious about their appearance and the thought of having to wear braces is off-putting. Others are involved in sports teams or play musical instruments which braces can affect.
All of the orthodontists who are part of The Invisible Orthodontist group are aware of the challenges many teens face and are experienced in providing treatment that doesn’t impact on a teen’s lifestyle.
It’s never too early for your child to have an orthodontic assessment. The New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO) recommends children see an orthodontist no later than the age of 9 so any problems or issues that may arise as your child’s teeth and jaws develop are identified as early as possible.
